Course Description: (Click for Show/Hide)
Routine dental procedures are easy to perform when a patient is sitting still, opening wide and responsive to your requests. However, if they are mentally or medically compromised or overly anxious, even your best office management techniques and sedation protocols may fail. Treatment in a hospital or surgical center operating room may be the best answer for patients who are uncooperative, combative, mentally challenged, medically compromised, too young to understand, or too anxious to sit still. In this course we will lead you through the steps involved in treating patients in the O.R., from initial contact to post-op follow-up visit. Learn how expanding your practice into the O.R. can be safe, comprehensive and efficient for both you and your patients, and also easier to accomplish than you may have thought.
