The surface area of moderate periodontal disease in a person with 20 teeth equals square centimeters of the palm of the hand. A multidisciplinary approach to periodontal disease including cardiologists, endocrinologists, Diabetes Educator Nurses, dental hygienists and dentists working together to fight this disease that contributes to the physical well being of our patients and their overall quality of life.
