This program will provide attendees with current facts and figures regarding oral cancer and all the benefits of a regular office program to help with early detection and thus saving lives. Oral cancer kills one North American every hour of every day. Surprisingly, many victims are now developing the disease not due to tobacco and alcohol use, and 25% of new oral cancer is found in patients who do not fit the profile we expect. With a proper oral exam and the use of new technology, dentists have an opportunity to change the survival rate from 50% to 90% or more with early detection. This program will also look at many useful technologies available today to make our practices more fun, and more profitable.
